Kage Murnion and Jace McWilliams were my fishermen for the 2023 Kid’s Tournament, with Angie Murnion as our helper.  The fishing proved to be a bit challenging, but we managed to land two walleye.  The first catch was a small one, giving us relief we weren’t gonna get skunked.

Then, Jace went on to hook an impressive 27 1/2″ beauty, weighing 8 pounds and 6 ounces. He proudly declared it was the biggest walleye he’s ever caught!  And just like that, we were the Runner-Up Champions… Congratulations Kage and Jace!

These kids were so much fun.  They showed exceptional skills, even baiting their own hooks.  Sure made the Kid’s Tournament feel like being on vacation!  The Jordan Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited does such an awesome job putting on this Kid’s Tournament.  This was their 30th year!  Check out their website for additional information on the Jordan Chapter, as well as more photos from a great day.

It’s been another great season on the Lake.  Find more fun photos from our summer fishing season here.
